Santee, CA Knights of Columbus Rummage Sale-Change of Date. The Rummage Sale has been postponed till August, but we are still taking donations!
When these Knights are holding their bright cans and collecting donations around town, they are helping to recognize the dignity of every person. For every donation, each donor is offered a ruler by the Knight present. Of the money collected, 80 percent is returned to the local councils for donating to their local agencies. The remaining 20 percent is used for statewide programs. Fundraising activities can be ran throughout the year. The Campaign will close on November 1, This provides enough time to ensure the checks are sent out to the councils and the report can be completed before the January District Deputy Meeting.
State Deputy Robert Byers has drafted a letter that can used for corporate sponsors. Contact State Warden Jim Maslach kofcjkm gmail. We will send out a letter from the state council asking for their support. We will contact your council so you can follow up after the letter is sent. Local area businesses as well as Knights and Parishioners who have businesses are contacted through a general mailing campaign or a hand-written letter from the GK.

Knights of Columbus Blood Drive
Once the policy is prepared for approval it shall be read at a regular scheduled business meeting, and for thirty 30 days posted on the council web site and on the council chamber bulletin board. Once comments are resolved by council officers, the policy shall be presented at the next regular scheduled business meeting for a vote by the attending members. A simple majority of those attending the meeting shall approve the policy.
Signature of the Grand Knight shall indicate approval of a simple majority of the Council members attending a regular scheduled business meeting. The policies are sequentially numbered with a revision number and date approved by the Grand Knight. Once a number is used it shall not be repeated.

The Knights of Columbus annual charity golf tournament has been rescheduled to Saturday, Sept. There are two ways to do this. The banner will hang at the clubhouse and the sign at one of the holes. All silver and gold sponsors will have their banners hung at the banquet hall following the tournament. The second way businesses can help is by donating a door prize. This can be a gift or a gift certificate, which will be awarded at the banquet, which follows the tournament.

Last year alone, Brother Knights volunteered over 70 million hours to charitable services. Many students over the years have benefited from the charitable acts of the Knights as recipients of graduation awards, receiving sponsorship for special events and projects, participating in athletic events like the Basketball Free Throw Competition as well as the Keeping Christ in Christmas, and the Anti- Substance Abuse poster contests. Over the last few years, the Knights of Columbus has been a major donor and has had a major presence at our annual Catholic High School Graduates Mass celebration, bringing together graduates from our seven secondary schools to celebrate Catholic education with the Bishop.
