She is an actress and is known for her roles in the films like “Sabrina’s Secret Life,” and “Trollz. By nature, I’m a servant. I like to serve people She also said that laughter and food were two of the world’s universal languages that made people feel good and that when she felt her authentic self when she was able to do both at the same time. Comedian-turned-chef Alex Thomopoulos is one lucky woman. She recently toured around Los Angeles with Graham Elliot on Going Off the Menu , scarfing down butter-garlic shrimp at Smorgasburg LA, eating fresh uni harvested from the ocean just minutes earlier, and crashing a crazy tiki party with flaming cocktails and live entertainment. Sounds like a blast, right? Not so fast. While she called the Hawaiian-style garlic butter shrimp at Smorgasburg’s Shrimp Daddy “mind-blowing,” she actually isn’t the biggest fan of uni.
But the uni she sampled that day—freshly harvested from the Pacific by diver Matt Kim and served minutes later right on the beach—was exceptional. Speaking of cool, the Coconut Club—an over-the-top tiki party hosted twice a month in the historic Clifton’s restaurant—caught both Alex and Graham off guard. I mean, I totally got into it,” Alex said. I got a few cocktails in him and he was fine.
Those would be flaming tequila pineapple cocktails, by the way. And they came with an unusual garnish. Alex, who recently became the chef at Great White restaurant in L.
Six years later she took another chance, moving to Nashville to strike out on her own as a restauranteur. I like to use the sauerkraut as a side to brighten up dishes. I think that fermented foods add such a unique, interesting layer to dishes, so I try to incorporate them as much as I can. I like Vital Farms a lot. I think that Vital Farms is the best at being really transparent and truthful about how they treat their animals. My morning go-to is six-minute eggs, where you put your eggs in boiling water for exactly six minutes.
Air Date: Sat, Nov 23, PM. On this episode of Moveable Feast with Fine Cooking, co-hosts Pete Evans and Alex Thomopoulos join forces in Lisbon,.

Arianna Thomopoulos is no stranger to the subject of heartbreak. She opened up with us about how work, friends and ice cream helped her cope with her own heartbreak. You can follow Arianna on Instagram and Twitter or check out her blog here. If you think back to the first time you were heartbroken, what advice would you give to that younger version of yourself? I would remind myself that the actual pain I was feeling is real and you should allow yourself to feel it but know that the pain will not last forever.
Like a scar, each heartbreak is a reminder and a life lesson. You will find yourself looking at the scar. Once the scab is healed you will remember how you got the scar and steer clear of what led you to get it in the first place. As your life goes on, you will forget the scar is there and move forward in life, a little tougher than before. I am thankful for each heartbreak, as sucky and as painful as they were, and BOY were they life-shattering, altering heartbreaks, it always turned out for the better.
